Sam is a musician from the Far South Coast of NSW. He plays a mixture of contemporary blues, rock and country soul.
Sam was involved in a show with ABC called “The Recording Studio” whereby he recorded Joe Cocker's version of “A little help from my friends” with some of Australia’s best musicians in ABC's Sydney studios. The Recording Studio won an ARIA Award in 2019 for the soundtrack to this program. This was a fantastic experience and Sam used this opportunity to turn his music into a career.
Sam followed this performance by performing the same Joe Cocker classic live at an NRL match for Fox and Channel 9 at a bushfire recovery benefit game in the Bega Valley. That night Sam supported Amy Shark and Brad Cox.
Covid-19 then made its mark on his career as it did with so many acts. Sam shifted his focus onto producing and writing his own album which was released in Dec 2022. This debut album titled “From the Ashes” will be the focus of a regional NSW tour in February and March 2023.

Sam was scouted as an act for Australia's Got Talent and was a part of the show in 2022. He received a standing ovation and 4 yesses from the judges with his rendition of 'When the War is Over' by Cold Chisel.

Sam is an independent, live musician who will amaze audiences with his original vocal ability and looping specialty of both vocal and guitar cross melodies. He plays both acoustic and electric guitar and weaves stories into his music and takes audiences on a journey with him in every song. A unique performer who must be seen to be believed.
Sam plays a blend of soul and blues that has overtones of his upbringing in the country and being brought up around the jazz scene. This is combined into an independent sound that can only be called Sam Stevenson.
